There’s just something about ripping the last month off of the calender and looking at a whole new year! The possibilities seem so promising and it makes my heart smile. I’d love to share a few of my resolutions with you.
1. Look for and buy more organic produce – especially the 12 items in the Dirty Dozen list. These have been identified by the Environmental Working Group as the worst offenders of pesticide usage in America. They are: celery, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nectarines, bell peppers, spinach, cherries, kale & collard greens, potatoes and grapes. You can get a terrific cut out graphic to print and put in your wallet at www.foodnews.org
2. Participate in more RAW and VEGAN food preparation classes. I love learning from others and it’s always fun to share ideas. I love to eat and better yet, I love to eat really tasty food. I will apply wha
t I learn to help others and to prepare incredible dishes for my family.
3. Yoga will become a way of life for me. I will find 2 opportunities each week to move my body in and out of Vinyasa flow in a classroom setting. I have a wonderful bedtime regimen which includes laying down yoga postures.
4. I will move to a more “green” way of living. All of my light-bulbs will be replaced with energy saving options. My cleaning supplies and most of my medicines will be replaced with essential oil blends. In the spring, I will fertilize with newly composted material.
2011 is going to be a wonderful year for so many reasons. My family is in a transitional phase with my youngest graduating from High School this year and my oldest is turning 21. It’s bittersweet to witness your children becoming young adults. My husband and I are enjoying a new dating phase in our marriage. And, I have discovered I can actually spend more time with friends. I love my health coaching business and love inspiring others to become empowered to take their health to a new level! So, I am embracing the new year with hope and enthusiasm!

Hi Joline! All of those goals were in my LifeVision for 2011 as well. I’m ready to REALLY get healthy this year. I’m not a veteran of eating natural or raw but I’m wanting to head that direction this year. I’ll be in touch. My first question is what kind of juicer? Omega or Champion? And what’s that going to set me back?
Juicing is a phenomenal way to get your nutrients! I know you’re a busy woman Ann, and that is why I’m going to recommend the Omega Masticator for you. In less then a minute you can have the juicing mechanism broke down and rinsed. I have used the Champion juicer during my studies at the Culinary Arts Institute in California, and it does a great job, but, it is much for time consuming to dismantle and clean. The reason you want to purchase the masticating juicer is for all the greens you will juice. Masticating squeezes out all the wonderful nutritious juice from the greens, giving you the maximum amount of vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll. Go to http://www.omegajuicer.com. I believe you’ll invest around $300 and receive a 15 year warranty.
These are great goals. If the whole country changed their eating habits, imagine the money saved on health expenses.
I couldn’t agree with you more. It may cost a little more to eat organic produce now, but I don’t intend to go into old age with anything but optimal health!!!
