Fitness is an Important Part of Health
There is a simple equation for permanent weight loss. It’s less calories in then burned each day. So, how do you know if you’re achieving this? I like to challenge my clients to “up their game” by turning one of their work-outs each week into a CALORIE BLAST! When you know how many calories are expended for specific effort you get a better idea of what it takes to lose a specific number of pounds.
Good Fact to Know: 3500 calories is the rough estimate for the energy contained in one pound of fat. This means that to lose one pound per week, you must create a deficit of 3500 calories per week. Since a week as 7 days, that means a deficit of 3500 / 7 = 500 calories per day.
