I admit it – sometimes I get tired of salads! But, I know they are the best way to get greens and veggies into my body. I created a salad topper recipe to spice things up a bit. A friend shared a Gomasio salad topping recipe with me and I was inspired! Gomasio is an Asian condiment. It’s basically roasted sesame seeds and salt. The RAW version of Gomasio is to dehydrate the sesame seed mixture so you can receive all of the great benefits these seeds have to offer. Buy the unhulled sesame seed (they are darker in color), because the bran is intact and they are an excellent source of calcium, iron and phosphorus. I use Dulse in my recipe because I like the salty flavor and the extra nutrients it lends to the mixture. If you cannot find Dulse in your health food store, feel free to use another dried seaweed product. You’re going for a salty, savory flavor. You can find my SALAD TOPPER recipe in my new ebook GO RAW!. You’ll find you will sprinkle this mixture on everything – salads, soups, sandwiches, in the palm of your hand and lick it up like candy!!!
